He maintained that improved connectivity would encourage more tourists to explore the state’s rich cultural heritage and sacred sites.

Notably, the initiative was launched on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lord Parshuram, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. CM Dr Yadav termed the event a matter of pride for the state. He further said that the heli-tourism service would not only provide convenience to pilgrims, but will also provide a substantial boost to the tourism industry.

Meanwhile, the Chanderi-bound passengers will need to pay a sum of Rs 5,000. The service is being operated under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, and places strong emphasis on the safety of passengers. Modern helicopters boasting a sound seating capacity of six passengers are being deployed for the pilgrimage.

The service will operate five days a week; Wednesday through Sunday, offering regular connectivity for pilgrims and tourists alike.
