Investment and Development of Tier-2 Cities in Focus
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will hold one-to-one discussions with investors to explore investment opportunities and potential partnerships for future urban development projects. Special sessions will focus on the development of Tier-2 cities, housing, redevelopment, master plans and urban planning. The objective is to strengthen infrastructure beyond major urban centres and support balanced development across Madhya Pradesh.
Digital Governance and Ease of Doing Business
The conclave will also discuss digital governance, GIS-based urban planning and online building permission systems. Simplifying the No Objection Certificate (NOC) process and improving the ease of doing business will be key areas of discussion. Experts will examine how technology can make urban administration more transparent, efficient and accessible to citizens and investors.
Climate-Resilient Cities and Environmental Sustainability
Environmental sustainability will be another major focus, with discussions on water security, water reuse, climate-resilient cities and environmental protection.
Proposals concerning city forests, central parks, improved air quality and the promotion of electric vehicles will also be explored. Solid waste management, waste-to-energy projects, solar power and the compressed biogas (CBG) ecosystem will feature in discussions on sustainable urban services.
Innovative Financing for Urban Infrastructure
The conclave will examine funding mechanisms for urban development projects, including the Urban Challenge Fund, public-private partnerships (PPP), green bonds, municipal bonds and temple bonds. Financing opportunities through multilateral banks will also be discussed. The event aims to strengthen financial partnerships, encourage private investment and bring global expertise into Madhya Pradesh’s urban development initiatives, with an emphasis on effective implementation and long-term sustainability.
