Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav will transfer the 40th monthly instalment of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana for September from Agar Malwa on Sunday, September 13.
An amount of ₹1,835 crore 9 lakh 22 thousand 450 will be directly credited to the bank accounts of 1 crore 25 lakh 10 thousand 150 eligible women beneficiaries. With the release of the September instalment, the total amount transferred to women under the scheme since its launch will cross ₹65,395.99 crore.

Monthly assistance increased to ₹1,500
The Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana was launched in June 2023, with eligible women initially receiving ₹1,000 per month. The monthly assistance was subsequently increased by ₹250 to ₹1,250 from October 2023 and by another ₹250 from November 2025.
Eligible women in the general category are currently receiving ₹1,500 every month under the scheme.
Beneficiaries who receive ₹900 per month under the Social Security Pension Scheme are also provided the differential amount under the provisions of the Ladli Behna Yojana.
From June 2023 to August 2026, 39 regular monthly instalments had been transferred to beneficiaries. The 40th instalment is scheduled to be released in September.
In addition to the regular instalments, special assistance of ₹250 was provided to beneficiaries on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan in August 2023, August 2024, August 2025 and August 2026.
₹63,560 crore transferred through monthly instalments
Between June 2023 and August 2026, ₹63,560.90 crore was transferred directly into the bank accounts of women through the Ladli Behna Yojana.
For the financial year 2026-27, expenditure under the scheme is estimated at ₹11,300 crore up to September 2026. The state government has made a budgetary allocation of ₹23,882.81 crore for the scheme for the 2026-27 financial year.

During his visit to Agar Malwa, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav will also perform Bhoomi Poojan for 33 development works with a combined estimated cost of ₹225.95 crore.
He will also inaugurate 17 completed development works worth ₹28.14 crore.
Together, the projects to receive Bhoomi Poojan and those to be inaugurated are valued at more than ₹254 crore, adding a development-focused dimension to the Chief Minister's visit.
