Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav on Wednesday joined the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha’ virtually from Ujjain, marking Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s completion of 25 years in public service. Carrying a ceremonial torch during a subsequent service campaign, CM Dr Yadav said Madhya Pradesh was moving ahead with a sense of pride, development and cultural confidence.

The event, organised on Wednesday, was held to mark 25 years of PM Modi’s public service. From Aastha Garden in Ujjain, CM Dr Yadav participated virtually alongside senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office-bearers and workers and listened to Modi’s vision and guidance.

The Chief Minister called for strengthening the resolve to build a developed India and further advancing the country’s all-round development.

Torch-lit ‘Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra’ launched

Following the event, CM Dr Yadav inaugurated the ‘Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra’, organised under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan-2026’, by lighting a torch. He also carried the torch himself and participated in the procession, paying tribute to what he described as PM Modi’s 25 years of service, dedication and commitment to nation-building.

CM Dr Yadav also felicitated award-winning officials from various departments during the programme.

He said the completion of 25 years of PM Modi’s public life and national service was a matter of pride and good fortune. According to CM Dr Yadav, every day and every moment of the Prime Minister’s public life had been dedicated to serving the nation.

CM Dr Yadav said India was moving towards the goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047. Referring to the predictions of Swami Vivekananda and Maharshi Aurobindo, he said the country was witnessing the realisation of the vision that the 21st century would belong to India.

The Chief Minister also cited the construction of the Ram temple and steps towards a Uniform Civil Code as examples of what he described as the emerging picture of a ‘New India’.

Ujjain sees surge in religious tourism

CM Dr Yadav highlighted the growth of religious tourism in Madhya Pradesh, particularly in Ujjain following the development of the Mahakal Lok corridor.

He said around seven crore devotees and tourists visited Ujjain last year alone, while nearly 20 crore visitors travelled across Madhya Pradesh. According to him, the figures reflected a changing Madhya Pradesh and a new India progressing alongside development, faith and cultural heritage.

Addressing party workers and local residents at the Ujjain event, CM Dr Yadav described Modi’s 25 years of service in public life as more than a measure of time, calling it a symbol of public trust, commitment and dedication.

Focus on bringing every section into the mainstream

CM Dr Yadav said Modi’s journey of public service was aimed at building a strong and capable developed India, with the participation of people from different sections of society.

He said the Prime Minister’s political journey, from his years in Gujarat to leading the country, represented a story of public service, organisational work and governance. Yadav also referred to the principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’, saying efforts had been made to connect every section of society with the mainstream of development.

He urged party workers to play an active role in taking the message of service, good governance and nation-building to the people and turning the celebrations into an exercise in public participation.

Speaking to the media after the programme, CM Dr Yadav congratulated the people of Madhya Pradesh on the completion of Modi’s 25 years in public life.
