Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav asserted on Wednesday that Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life represent not merely 25 years in office, but a quarter-century of continuous service and nation-building.
Addressing a meeting at the Mantralaya to review preparations for the campaign, CM Dr Yadav said Modi’s public journey, which began as Gujarat Chief Minister on October 7, 2001, had now reached a historic milestone. From serving as Gujarat’s Chief Minister to becoming Prime Minister, Modi had made public service his mission, he said.

The Seva Sankalp Campaign will run from September 17 to October 17, with its stated aim of taking the spirit of service to every section of society, showcasing key achievements of Modi’s 25 years in public life and spreading awareness about various government welfare schemes and programmes.
CM Dr Yadav said the campaign should become a platform for public participation and dialogue with citizens.
District-level programmes and public outreach
The Chief Minister directed officials to incorporate activities under the Jan Vishwas Campaign into Seva Sankalp programmes. Special initiatives focused on public welfare and dialogue with citizens will be organised in every district every Friday during the campaign.
District development booklets are to be widely distributed among households, while ministers have been asked to regularly review campaign activities in their respective departments and districts.
A date-wise action plan will be prepared for every district, while beneficiaries attending government programmes will be provided scheme-wise lists of eligible beneficiaries. CM Dr Yadav also stressed better coordination between departments at the district level.
He said Madhya Pradesh should use the campaign to present a model of good governance, public service and citizen participation that could serve as an example for the country.

CM Dr Yadav directed officials to organise a large-scale diya-lighting ceremony at Mahakal Lok in Ujjain on September 17. Grand programmes will also be held across the state at locations where Modi has inaugurated major projects, laid foundation stones or announced significant initiatives.
