Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) Abhijeet Dipke revealed on Saturday that he has been diagnosed with typhoid, but asserted that his health condition would not affect the party’s nationwide campaign seeking the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Dipke released a video statement on Saturday, informing supporters that he had been unwell for the past few days and had recently undergone medical tests, which confirmed he had contracted typhoid.

He added that he was receiving treatment at present and expressed confidence that he would recover soon.
Dipke said in the video, “As you know, I have been unwell for the last few days. The reports are out and I have been diagnosed with typhoid.”
Dipke thanks supporters for sustaining movement
Despite his ailment, Dipke said the movement had picked up pace due to the dedication of the workers of the CJP and its supporters across the country. He disclosed that he had been receiving intravenous medication as part of his treatment but underlined that his medical condition would not weaken the resolve of the campaign.
He added, “The treatment is going on. I am getting IV drips every day. But I want to thank all the cockroaches who are protesting peacefully across the country.”
Additionally, the US-returned activist congratulated supporters for expanding the protest into a nationwide movement and expressed hope that continued peaceful demonstrations would eventually lead to the fulfilment of the campaign’s principal objective.
He went on to say, “Congratulations to all of you for making this movement such a big success. I am very sure that if we continue protesting like this, we will get Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.”

Campaign centred on exam reforms, accountability over paper leaks
The CJP-led agitation had been launched over alleged irregularities in competitive exams across the country, and the party consistently called for greater accountability in the country’s examination system. The party has also been demanding comprehensive reforms in recruitment and entrance exams, while pressing for the resignation of Education Minister Pradhan.
Several public figures joined the CJP during their protests over the past few weeks, including activist Sonam Wangchuk. Wangchuk joined the agitation on June 28 and undertook a 26-day hunger strike in solidarity with the movement.
