A day after the NEET PG 2026 exam was cancelled at a centre in Rajasthan’s Jaipur owing to technical disruptions, a similar snag struck the same venue during the AIIMS Common Recruitment Examination-5 (CRE-5) re-examination on Monday.

The irregularity surfaced at the very centre where the NEET PG 2026 exam suffered the technical glitch (iON Digital Zone examination centre in Sitapura). The AIIMS had been organising the re-examination for recruitment to Group B and Group C non-academic posts under CRE-5.

Owing to the recurring technical disruptions, the institute cancelled the exam for the affected candidates and shall shortly announce a new date for the re-test.

Exam begins late, server crashes

As per several posts on social media and reports, a large number of candidates had reached the centre for the exam, which was set to begin from 9 am. However, the exam-bound candidates alleged that the test commenced 30 minutes later than the scheduled time. The disruption soon took a worse turn after the exam’s commencement, as the server went down within minutes.

Sanganer Sadar Police Station’s House Officer (SHO) was quoted as saying that the recruitment examination began around 30 minutes late due to technical glitches. He added that the examination process was disrupted by a string of power outages, adding to the inconvenience of the candidates.

Following a spate of interruptions, candidates reportedly walked out of the examination centre in frustration and staged a protest.

Same venue was hit by NEET PG disruption

The latest incident remains concerning as it reportedly occurred at the same examination centre where the NEET PG 2026 exam had been cancelled just a day earlier.

The NEET PG 2026 exam, held on August 30, was hit by technical snags at two centres in Jaipur, namely, the iON Digital Zone centres in Sitapura (TC Nos. 41682 and 41683). Candidates who had turned up at the venue to take the NEET PG 2026 exam also alleged that the test, scheduled to begin at 9 am, commenced late and was subsequently jolted by repeated exam failures.
