Sandipani School inauguration: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav on Thursday reached the Sagar district of the state, where he inaugurated the Sandipani school in Narayawali area. During this, he also laid the foundation stones for 75 development projects carrying an outlay of Rs 63.41 crore

On the occasion, CM Dr Yadav interacted with the students who have enrolled at the newly-inaugurated institution, and later felicitated the ones who performed well in the board exams. Addressing the gathering, he called the Sandipani school as more than just an educational institution, terming it a symbolic site reflecting the friendship between Lord Krishna and Sudama.

Further in his address, CM Dr Yadav strongly advocated for women’s empowerment and reservation policy. He referred to the recently proposed women’s reservation issue and slammed the Congress. He drew a comparison with the Kauravas from the Mahabharata. He then emphasised that the state government remains committed to ensuring 33% reservation for women. 


Continuing his attack on Congress, CM Dr Yadav cited past political developments involving Rahul Gandhi’s family in relation to women’s rights. He said that the administration in MP has already taken steps to improve women’s representation. He also noted that key administrative positions in Sagar district, such as that of the MP, Mayor and Collector are currently held by females.



Development projects announced 


The Chief Minister then announced numerous initiatives aimed at boosting infrastructure and skill development in the region. These include the rollout of new industrial courses at the government ITI in Jaruwakheda, and financial aid for development works in Karrapur city council.

He also spilled the beans on irrigation and connectivity projects, including the construction of two new bridges valued at Rs 25 crore, a four-land road project from Bamhori trisection and improvements under the Kadan medium irrigation project, which will likely benefit as much as 30,000 acres of farmland. 


Among the major announcements were plans for the restoration of the reservoir, minor irrigation projects and the proposed construction of the Makronia flyover, though a detailed timeline is yet to be specified.
