Bhopal: September 1 was a very special day for school students. These students impressed Chief Minister Dr. Yadav so much that he could not stop praising them. People were amazed to see the talent of these school students and welcomed every statement with applause. Among the students whom CM Dr. Yadav met, some had cleared NEET and JEE Mains along with their Class 12 examinations. Hearing this, the head of the state himself got the children applauded. The occasion was the ‘Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana’ programme organized at the Kushabhau Thackeray International Auditorium in Bhopal. Under the programme, CM Dr. Yadav provided laptops to students who scored more than 75% in Class 12. He transferred more than Rs 304 crore into the accounts of over 1.21 lakh students for purchasing laptops. In this way, Rs 25,000 each was credited to the account of every student. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav presented laptops to 10 students on the stage. A special feature of the programme was that CM Dr. Yadav had the students click the remote button along with him to transfer the money.
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav interacted with the students on the stage. He asked the students what they wanted to become when they grew up. Student Virendra Singh Bundela said that he wanted to become a politician. On this, CM Dr. Yadav said that this is also necessary for us. Children can play an important role in giving direction to the country by becoming politicians. In response to a question, Bundela said that he had seen the problems faced by people. A politician can solve those problems. He said that when he saw that no one wanted to enter politics, he decided that he would do what no one wanted to do. He said that he wanted to develop the country. After this, CM Dr. Mohan asked the children how many of their families were involved in farming and how many wanted to become farmers. After seeing the students’ response, he said that farming is our root. Children say they will become doctors, lawyers and engineers, but no one says that they want to become a farmer. Tell me, can we manage without farming? He said that if a farmer does not work hard and grow food, what will happen? Similarly, if we do not stand up to enter politics, where will good politicians come from? Student Himanshi Pathak said that she wanted to start as an air hostess, but her ultimate goal was to become an entrepreneur. Competition is high today. Therefore, starting one’s own work is appropriate. On this, CM Dr. Mohan said that in simple language, it means that we will not be job seekers, but job creators. Meanwhile, the entire hall echoed with laughter when Himanshi said that she had seen this scene in her dream. She said that she had dreamed of a similar hall and herself being on the stage with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.
Children are young, but their dreams and efforts are big
Student Manyata Sahu said that she would do a lot of work with this laptop. This laptop would help her a lot. Arima Imran said that she would appear for the NEET examination and her aim was to become a doctor. She wanted to serve the poor. After that, Kirti took the microphone. Seeing the mehendi on her hand, CM Dr. Mohan said that he would also apply mehendi. He used to apply mehendi to his sister himself. Kirti said that she wanted to build a career in Cost and Management. After this, Tanvi took the microphone. As soon as she held the microphone, CM Dr. Mohan told everyone that Tanvi had reached medical college while pursuing her Class 12 studies. She had also cleared NEET. She cleared both examinations on her very first attempt. Tanvi said that she wanted to become a doctor. Yashi encouraged students who did not score 75 percent. She said that she wanted to become an IAS officer. After that, Om Chouksey said that along with Class 12, he had cleared NEET, JEE Mains and CUET. On this, CM Dr. Mohan said, “The person is young, but the leap is big.” Om said that he wanted to become a doctor. CM Dr. Mohan said that Om’s father makes bags and runs the world with his work. He does not even have a shop. Abhishek said that he wanted to become a scientist at ISRO.
Do not take failure to heart
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said at the programme that students achieve success through their hard work and bring pride to their families and the state. Success should never be allowed to dominate oneself. If one ever faces failure in life, it should never be taken to heart. Wherever we are, we should remain grounded and always maintain the desire to move forward in our minds. We should also learn from our past mistakes, because a good person is not made by the marks received on paper; a good person is made from within. The country wants to see its youth moving forward. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is progressing. The Madhya Pradesh government is also moving forward shoulder to shoulder in this journey of development. Your knowledge and skills are the two friends of success. Knowledge is a lifelong companion and skills bring efficiency to life. Both always prove helpful in our lives. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is committed to encouraging all talents. Under the Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana, laptops were given to 473 children in the first year. Last year, around 92,000 students and this year, around 1.22 lakh students from the School Education and Tribal Affairs Departments benefited from the laptop scheme. More than 50 percent of the students in the merit lists of MP Board examinations come from government schools. Despite limited resources, the School Education Department has performed excellently. All officers and teachers deserve congratulations for this.
Government committed to better education
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our government has honoured principals, teachers and scholars of government schools that achieved 100 percent examination results in board examinations on the occasion of Guru Purnima. The School Education Department and the state government feel proud of their work, and their chests swell with pride. We are going to reopen the glorious pages of our prosperity and past. To move forward in life, we need determination and firm resolve in our minds. Set big goals and work hard to achieve them. India’s growing respect in the world inspires us to continuously move forward. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is committed to improving school education. Children are being provided free textbooks, uniforms, bicycles, laptops and scooters. However, there was also a time when arrangements were not even available for children to sit in schools in the state. Our government has started opening new medical colleges rapidly. In the 55 years after Independence, there were only 5 medical colleges in the state. Now, under our government, there are a total of 33 medical colleges, including private and government institutions. There are currently more than 6,500 MBBS seats in the state. We have opened 5 new medical colleges in two years. This has increased UG seats by 2,400. The state government has set a target of 55 medical colleges and 10,000 UG seats by 2028.
Dropout reduced to zero in government schools
School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the state’s education system is improving. Laptop funds are being provided to meritorious students who score 75 percent or more in Class 12 in their first attempt, to connect them with modern technology. Around 92,000 students benefited from the laptop scheme last year as well. It is because of the hard work of parents and children and better management by teachers that more than 1.21 lakh students became eligible to receive laptops this year. These laptops will make students’ college studies easier and more digital. Digitization has been encouraged under the New Education Policy. He said that over the past two and a half years, our government has distributed funds to nearly 2.75 lakh students for purchasing laptops. Under the Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana, a total of 6.5 lakh students have so far received Rs 1,620 crore in their accounts for purchasing laptops. The enrollment rate in government schools in the state has been increasing over the past three years. Due to the efforts of our government, the dropout rate among school children has become zero. There is no shortage of teachers in schools. Around 70,000 to 72,000 guest teachers are working in our schools. The state government is committed to recruiting teachers for approximately 18,000 vacant posts. Children are the future of our country and the hope of the state. Our children will lead a developed India in 2047.
