AIM Congress is among the world’s major investment platforms, bringing together nearly 20,000 delegates from more than 180 countries. Governments, major investors, sovereign wealth funds and companies participate in the event to discuss investment opportunities and potential partnerships.
On the first day of his visit, CM Dr Yadav inaugurated an exhibition showcasing Madhya Pradesh’s One District One Product (ODOP) and Geographical Indication (GI) products at Taj Dubai in Business Bay.
The exhibition put the state’s rich handicrafts, handloom traditions and indigenous art on the international stage. Products on display included Betul’s bell metal craft, Ashoknagar’s Chanderi sarees, Maheshwari sarees from Maheshwar in Khargone, Ujjain’s Batik prints, Bhopal’s Zari-Zardozi work and Gwalior carpets.
The state government aims to connect these products with global markets and international buyers while creating new economic opportunities for artisans.
Meeting Arab Parliament chief
CM Dr Yadav also met Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament, to discuss opportunities for greater cooperation between Arab countries and Madhya Pradesh in trade, investment, agriculture, tourism and education.
The Chief Minister highlighted investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh’s renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, textiles, logistics, advanced manufacturing and urban infrastructure sectors.

Dubai market offers opportunity for MP farmers
CM Dr Yadav’s investment-focused visit also places considerable emphasis on expanding agricultural exports. Dubai imports more than 85% of the food it consumes. In 2024, the UAE imported food worth around $16.2 billion, marking a 13.7% rise over 2023.
With nearly 89% of the UAE’s population comprising expatriates, including a large Indian community, demand for Indian grains, pulses and processed food continues to grow.
Madhya Pradesh is well placed to tap into this demand. According to the Economic Survey 2025-26, the state ranks first in the country in pulses and maize, second in cereals with a 13.04% share, and second in wheat with a 20.78% share. Known as the ‘Soy State’, Madhya Pradesh also accounts for nearly 60% of India’s soybean production. A meeting with Lulu Group’s MA Yusuff Ali is expected to explore ways of converting this market potential into commercial opportunities.

A stronger export market in Dubai could help farmers secure better prices while attracting investment in cold chains, grading and food processing. Even a modest share of the vast market, officials believe, could translate into significant gains for millions of farmers across Madhya Pradesh.
