Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav held separate meetings with Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh during his visit to Delhi, with discussions focusing on employment generation, skill development and ways to strengthen the textile sector in the state.
The meetings assumed significance as the Madhya Pradesh government continues to focus on creating more employment opportunities for young people while attracting fresh investment in sectors with the potential to generate jobs on a large scale.

Focus on jobs and skill development
During his meeting with Mansukh Mandaviya, CM Dr Yadav briefed the Union Minister on initiatives being undertaken by the Madhya Pradesh government to strengthen skill development and employment opportunities for the state's youth.
The two leaders discussed ways to create more job opportunities for young people and considered measures to effectively advance various employment and skill-development schemes with the support of the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment.
The discussions centred on strengthening coordination between the Centre and the state so that employment-oriented programmes and skill-development initiatives can be implemented more effectively in Madhya Pradesh.
Textile investment and expansion on agenda
CM Dr Yadav also met Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh, with the discussions focusing on giving fresh impetus to Madhya Pradesh's textile sector and exploring possibilities for attracting new investments.
The meeting covered the expansion of the textile industry in the state, emerging investment opportunities and the potential for the sector to generate additional employment.
With textiles being a labour-intensive industry, greater investment in the sector could provide opportunities for both industrial growth and job creation, particularly for skilled and semi-skilled workers.
More meetings likely in Delhi
CM Dr Yadav is also expected to meet some other Union ministers and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organisational functionaries later in the evening.
The Chief Minister had returned from his Dubai visit on September 9 and stayed in Delhi for around six hours, during which he met several Union leaders. He subsequently travelled to Sagar district to meet people affected by poisonous liquor.
Following this, CM Dr Yadav attended the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Justice of the High Court. On September 11, after inaugurating a conference related to the 'Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Seva' in Indore, he travelled to Delhi.
Jobs and investment remain government priorities
The Chief Minister's Delhi engagements are being viewed as significant in the context of the Madhya Pradesh government's focus on employment, skill development and industrial investment.
While expanding opportunities for the state's youth remains a key priority, the government is also seeking to attract greater investment in sectors such as textiles that can contribute to industrial expansion and employment generation.
