Jeweller Abducted on His Way to Shop
According to police, the victim, K. Srinivasa Rao, was abducted on October 5 while travelling to his jewellery shop in Ramanthapur. The accused allegedly intercepted him near the Golnaka flyover, posing as law enforcement officers before taking him to an undisclosed location.
Investigators said the victim was blindfolded during the abduction. The gang allegedly demanded ₹15 crore as ransom, but reportedly collected ₹1.3 crore from his family.

Gang Allegedly Used Fake Number Plates

The case highlights the importance of verifying the identity of individuals claiming to be police officers, particularly when they approach people outside official premises.
