Nitin Nabin, national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accused the Opposition parties and other similar groups of attempting to destabilise India for political mileage, alleging that their actions were driven by ‘foreign forces.’
Nabin made the remarks while addressing a press conference in New Delhi ahead of a planned protest by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and the INDIA bloc, alleging that two groups had been trying to incite instability in the country. He identified one as the Rahul Gandhi-led Opposition alliance and the other as the CJP, which he linked to aides of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal.

Nain remarked, “Today, an attempt is being made to create a highly dangerous and serious situation in the country,” adding that efforts were underway to disrupt the country’s peace and harmony, where close to 1.4 billion people reside.
Nabin accuses Opposition of pursuing political agenda
Taking an aim at the Opposition, Nabin alleged that its leaders were unwilling to accept the people’s verdict and were instead trying to undermine the country’s instability.
He asserted, “I want to state clearly to both these groups that the people of India see right through your motives,” calling the alleged rivalry between the groups as an ‘anarchist competition’ to induce greater instability.
He further claimed that instead of accepting their electoral setbacks or learning from them, the groups had plotted to destabilise the country. He said, “You are undertaking these efforts, driven by your political agendas, at the behest of foreign forces.”

However, he did not cite specific evidence to substantiate his allegation of overseas involvement in the Opposition’s activities.
“Indian democracy quite strong”: Nabin
Thereafter, Nabin expressed strong confidence in India’s democratic institutions and the public, claiming that the country was continuing to make progress despite persistent global crises.
He then accused the Opposition of being unable to accept India’s development, economic advancement and growing self-reliance. He said, “You cannot bear to see India moving forward as a self-reliant and empowered nation, and you are attempting to destabilise it at the behest of foreign forces.”
Nabin continued by saying that Indian democracy was strong enough to withstand such challenges and expressed confidence that patriotic citizens would unite to thwart what he called ‘attempts to destabilise the country.’

CJP calls for CEC’s resignation, electoral roll revision
The BJP President made the remarks as the CJP called for a stir in the national capital on Saturday, voicing demands for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar and opposing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The dispute has resulted in a politically charged atmosphere nationwide, with the BJP accusing Opposition groups of pursuing derailing agendas while the planned demonstration has brought electoral transparency and the functioning of the poll machinery into renewed focus.
