Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav on Wednesday reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the welfare of state employees, saying timely promotions, salaries and allowances were not merely administrative benefits but a source of happiness and motivation for government staff and their families.
Employees at the state secretariat (Mantralaya) felicitated CM Dr Yadav on August 25 in recognition of several decisions taken by his government in the interest of employees.

‘Your promotion is linked to my emotion’
Addressing the gathering, CM Dr Yadav said the happiness on employees’ faces after receiving promotions was clearly visible. He acknowledged the hard work of government staff in processing files and translating decisions into action.
“The state government is committed to providing all types of salaries, allowances and promotions to encourage employees,” CM Dr Yadav said, stressing that these were the rights of employees and helped inject fresh energy into the workforce while bringing happiness to their families.
The Chief Minister said his government was committed to ensuring that employees received their due benefits on time. A decision delayed, he noted, could also amount to injustice.
CM Dr Yadav said his government takes decisions by connecting its “emotion” with employees’ promotions, underlining the human aspect of career progression in government service.
Promotions to continue year after year
CM Dr Yadav assured government officers and employees that the promotion process in Madhya Pradesh would no longer remain stalled and would continue year after year.
Departmental Promotion Committees (DPCs) are set to begin the promotion process across all departments this year, he said, adding that all eligible employees would once again receive the benefit of promotions.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the importance of transparent decision-making and determination as pillars of good governance. He said India was progressing rapidly under the leadership of Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi and maintained that his government would continue to take welfare-oriented decisions in the interests of employees.
He also extended Raksha Bandhan greetings and best wishes to women employees.

The state government has also focused on employees’ housing needs alongside salaries and allowances, according to the statement. CM Dr Yadav’s government has taken several decisions concerning employees as well as farmers, the poor, women and young people.
On December 13, 2023, the state government announced the payment of allowances that had remained pending for employees since 2013.
In 2026, more than 1.25 lakh government officers and employees in Madhya Pradesh received promotions. The Chief Minister has also fulfilled five demands raised by employees, including those related to time-scale pay. During the programme, international karate player Jagriti Patel and Vikram Award winner Anjali Verma were also honoured for their achievements.
