UP Blue drum case: A bizarre and unsettling case pertaining to marital dispute has emerged from Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr, where a man allowed his wife to leave him after he discovered a cryptic and alarming social media reference on her phone. The man reportedly saw his wife’s ‘Cement and Drum’ posts on her Facebook profile, and comprehended it as a veiled threat to his life, leading him to set her free.

Complainant named Rajkumar alleges wife quarrelled with him often


The man named Rajkumar alleged that his wife had been involved in an extra-marital relationship and used to argue with him frequently before leaving to meet her paramour. Rajkumar further said that in July 2025, his wife left home with their six-month-old infant, claiming that she was staying with her parents. However, he later suspected that she may have been living with her lover.



Blue drum, cement post discovery on phone raises alarm


The situation escalated when Rajkumar gained access to his wife’s phone, when she was on a call with her partner. He scanned the phone, and found obscene pictures and social media posts referencing ‘cement and drum.’ He further alleged that he also found an image of him with the caption, ‘Blue drum and cement’, drawing parallels with the infamous Meerut Blue drum case, where a married woman named Muskan Rastogi killed her husband Saurabh with the help of her paramour, dismembered his body, and put it in a blue drum filled with cement. The case had sent shockwaves across the country and also gained immense traction on social media.

Rajkumar claims wife issued death threats


Furthermore, Rajkumar claimed that his wife had repeatedly issued death threats to him during arguments. He said that she openly expressed her desire to stay with her lover. When he lodged a police complaint and the cops tried to mediate, his wife reaffirmed her decision to leave him. Fearing for his safety, Rajkumar ultimately chose to let her go, halting the troubled relationship.
