In a shocking case of alleged mob justice, Kolkata Police have arrested three members of a 13-year-old girl's family, including her parents, for allegedly assaulting an 18-year-old youth, his father and his friend before forcing the three to walk naked along a street in the city's Sarsuna area.

The incident reportedly took place on Sunday, October 25, after the girl's uncle allegedly saw the teenager kissing her and informed her father and another family member.

Victims Allegedly Assaulted and Threatened at Gunpoint

According to police, the girl's family allegedly took the two young men to their home and assaulted them. The 18-year-old was then reportedly forced to call his father.

When the father arrived at the house, he was allegedly assaulted as well. A senior police officer said the three victims claimed they were threatened with a firearm and warned that they would be shot if they refused to remove their clothes.

The victims were allegedly forced to strip naked and walk approximately 50 metres along the lane outside the house. A video purportedly showing the incident subsequently circulated on social media.

Three Family Members Arrested

Following a complaint filed by the father of one of the victims, police registered a case under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including attempted murder, wrongful confinement, criminal intimidation and kidnapping.

The girl's father, mother and uncle have been arrested in connection with the case. Police are conducting further searches to identify and apprehend other alleged accomplices.

Police Investigating Viral Video and Firearm Threat

All three victims have undergone medical examinations and reportedly told investigators that they were threatened with a gun. Police are yet to recover the alleged firearm.

Investigators are examining CCTV footage and questioning eyewitnesses to establish the sequence of events and determine the role of others who may have been involved.

The incident has raised serious concerns over public humiliation and violence carried out outside the law. While the investigation continues, police are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the alleged assault and the public parade.

The allegations remain under investigation, and the accused are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
