Pak batter Farhan surpasses Kohli for most runs in a single T20 World Cup campaign, scripts history

T20 World Cup news: Pakistan batter and opener Sahibzada Farhan on Saturday made a dashing entry into the history books, as he shattered Indian batter Virat Kohli’s record by securing the most runs in a single T20 World Cup tournament.

The feat fell into Farhan’s kitty during Pakistan’s Super-8 faceoff against Sri Lanka, being played in Kandy. Notably, Kohli’s record stood unbroken since 2014, and Farhan re-wrote it in the match against Sri Lanka.

Farhan achieved the milestone by scoring 283 runs from five matches, and eclipsed Kohli’s record by slamming a half-century off 35 balls.
