MP Nari Shakti Vandan Sammelan: Chief Minister slams opposition
During this, CM Dr Yadav took a swipe at the opposition, and credited Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi for making the impossible feats possible. He referred to the historic Shah Bano case, and added that the Supreme Court had once ruled that practices like Triple Talaq adversely impacted women’s lives. He, however, alleged that the then government had overturned the verdict.
He remarked, “The mistake made 40 years ago has been rectified,” underscoring the Centre’s decision to abolish Triple Talaq as a major step towards ramping up women’s rights. He further said that the BJP government has consistently worked in the direction of stepping up women’s empowerment.

The Urban Administration Department has directed all the civic bodies to conduct special conferences during this period, with the goal to promote awareness and dialogue on women’s empowerment. Officials said that the initiative seeks to strengthen grassroots participation and highlight the government’s efforts to uplift the women across Madhya Pradesh.
