Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted his government's commitment to education, tribal welfare, employment and infrastructure development. Several initiatives are being implemented to improve basic facilities and create new opportunities for people across the state.
₹150 Crore Investment in Education
Foundation stones were laid for 34 high school buildings and four tribal girls' hostels at a total cost of ₹150 crore. The government is also providing ₹5.10 crore for developing football facilities in Bichhiya to encourage children to participate in sports and advance their sporting careers.
Dr. Yadav said the government remains committed to strengthening essential services, including education, electricity, water supply, irrigation and roads.
Support for Tribal Communities
The government is providing a 75% bonus to tendu leaf collectors and support prices for 32 minor forest produce items. Sahariya women are also receiving financial assistance of ₹1,500.
In Shahdol, approximately 17,000 houses have been provided for Baiga families. Additionally, 65 kilometres of roads have been developed, while water facilities have reached 28,000 families.
Scholarships for Tribal Girls
In a significant step for tribal students, scholarships for tribal girls will now be provided for 12 months instead of the earlier 10 months. The move aims to strengthen educational support and help girls continue their studies.
Employment and Infrastructure Development
Dr. Yadav stated that more than 85,000 posts have been filled under his government, with one lakh additional recruitments planned for the future. Development projects are also continuing through initiatives such as the Sleemanabad Tunnel, the river-linking campaign and Bhavantar payment schemes.
Government Focuses on Public Welfare
The initiatives reflect the state government's stated priorities of improving infrastructure, supporting tribal communities, expanding employment opportunities and strengthening public services. Through these measures, the government aims to promote development and improve living conditions across Madhya Pradesh.
