The Madhya Pradesh government plans to accelerate industrial growth in the Gwalior-Chambal region, attract fresh investments and create local jobs, with new industrial zones along the Chambal Expressway also under discussion.

Chambal Industrial Summit to Boost Investment
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced that a division-level industrial summit will be organised in the Chambal region before Diwali to attract investors and accelerate industrial development.
The announcement came during an interaction with entrepreneurs under the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan. Around 20 industrialists shared their experiences and discussed investment opportunities, employment generation, exports and industrial expansion with the Chief Minister.
Dr. Yadav assured entrepreneurs of government support and said the Gwalior-Chambal region had considerable potential for industrial growth.
New Industrial Areas Along Chambal Expressway
The Chief Minister discussed the possibility of developing new industrial areas along the Chambal Expressway, establishing industrial clusters and promoting tourism across the region.
He said expanding industrial activity would help generate employment for local youth, improve the use of regional resources and strengthen the local economy.
Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar also highlighted the potential for industrial development in areas such as Porsa and Sabalgarh. He stressed that industrial growth should reach different parts of the region and create opportunities for young people to find jobs closer to home.

₹1,500 Crore Glass Manufacturing Project in Focus
During the interaction, Dr. Yadav highlighted the proposed glass manufacturing unit of AGI Greenpac, for which approximately 27 acres of land have been allotted.
The project involves a proposed investment of around ₹1,500 crore and is expected to generate employment for approximately 2,000 people. The unit is currently under construction.
The Chief Minister also emphasised the potential of glass manufacturing to promote alternatives to plastic and support the state's broader environmental goals.

Biomass Industry to Support Farmers
Dr. Yadav appreciated the work of Biora Energy Private Limited, which manufactures biomass pellets. He said industries that convert agricultural waste into biomass pellets and biochar could support crop-residue management while creating economic opportunities for farmers.
Such initiatives, he noted, could help reduce waste, support environmental protection and encourage industrial development.

Pharma Unit Expected to Begin Production by Diwali
Sinoria Pharma representative Kapil Satyawani informed the Chief Minister that construction of the company's unit, which will manufacture medical and surgical equipment, had been completed.
The project involves an investment of approximately ₹6 crore, with production preparations underway for a planned start by Diwali. Dr. Yadav congratulated the entrepreneur and extended his best wishes for the launch.
Government Reaffirms Industry-Friendly Approach
Entrepreneurs participating in the programme described government support and coordination between departments as helpful in advancing their projects. Some also highlighted employment opportunities for local residents and the export potential of their products.
Dr. Yadav reiterated that the state government would continue working to attract investment, strengthen industrial infrastructure and generate employment.
The proposed Chambal Industrial Summit is expected to provide a platform for investors and policymakers to discuss new projects and expand industrial opportunities across the Gwalior-Chambal region.
