Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister recalled Dr Mukherjee's long-standing advocacy for national unity, stating that he had envisioned an India governed by the principle of "One Nation, One Constitution, One Head and One Flag". CM Dr Yadav said the shortcomings that Dr Mukherjee had identified in the constitutional framework during the country's formative years underscored the need for a uniform legal system.
He announced that Madhya Pradesh is moving decisively towards implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) within the current month, describing it as another significant milestone in strengthening national integration and ensuring equal treatment under the law.

State advancing towards industrial growth and defence manufacturing
Highlighting the state government's development agenda, CM Dr Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh is undertaking initiatives that are vital for the country's progress. He remarked that India has earned a distinct global identity under the Prime Minister's leadership and that the state is contributing to this vision through rapid industrialisation and inclusive development.
The state’s top political leader said the government is working to improve the welfare of every section of society while striving to build the kind of India envisioned by Dr Mukherjee. He also noted that Madhya Pradesh has scripted a "golden chapter" by making its entry into the defence manufacturing sector.
According to him, the state will soon emerge as a hub for the production of a wide range of defence equipment, further strengthening its industrial base and economic prospects.
New industrial park and convention centres to boost growth
CM Dr Yadav also announced that he would inaugurate a major industrial park at Satgarhi later in the day. The park, he said, has been designed as an integrated ecosystem where workers and businesses will have access to accommodation, dining facilities, recreation and employment opportunities within a single campus.
He expressed confidence that Bhopal is steadily evolving into a prosperous economic capital and said there could be no better occasion than Dr Mukerjee's birth anniversary to lay the foundation for transformative development projects.
Another still from the event
The Chief Minister further revealed plans to construct Madhya Pradesh's largest convention centre in Bhopal. While a 5,000-seat convention facility will come up near the Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium, the Satgarhi convention centre is expected to accommodate between 10,000 and 15,000 people.
Concluding his address, CM Dr Yadav said he was pleased that Madhya Pradesh currently records the lowest unemployment rate in the country, adding that the state continues to make steady progress across multiple sectors while moving confidently on the path of comprehensive development.
