Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav on Thursday invited domestic and international investors to set up industries in the state, assuring them of a conducive business environment, robust infrastructure and comprehensive support from the government.
Addressing leading textile investors, industry representatives and global brands at Bharat Tex 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, the Chief Minister highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s investment-friendly policies, vast potential in the textile sector and the facilities available for businesses.

‘Development wave sweeping across India under PM Modi’s leadership’: CM
Highlighting India's growth trajectory, CM Dr Yadav said that development was taking place across all sectors under the leadership of Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi.
“I come from the city of Kumbh. The Kumbh takes place once every 12 years and creates a unique atmosphere everywhere. That atmosphere is religious in nature. Similarly, an environment for the textile industry has been created here,” he said.
The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh had participated in the event last year as well, but its scale and impact had grown significantly this year.
With support from the Union Ministry of Textiles, Madhya Pradesh is making effective use of its resources in the textile and garment sector, increasing both production and employment opportunities. He added that the textile industry was playing an important role in strengthening the state's economy.

PM MITRA park to benefit farmers and generate employment
CM Dr Yadav said PM Modi had laid the foundation stone of the country's first PM MITRA Park in Dhar district, which would create direct and indirect employment opportunities for around 3 lakh people.
He added that the project would greatly benefit more than 6 lakh cotton-producing farmers in the Malwa-Nimar region.
The Chief Minister said the PM MITRA Park would create a seamless ecosystem from farms to factories, garment manufacturing units and global markets.
“Officials have informed investors about our policies, but the entrepreneurs present here possess a huge wealth of experience built through their hard work. Their insights inspire the government to move ahead faster,” Dr Yadav said.
India’s diversity reflected in textile heritage
Speaking about India's rich textile legacy, CM Dr Yadav said Madhya Pradesh had a deep connection with the textile sector dating back to the era of King Vikramaditya.
He highlighted the contribution of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar in promoting the Maheshwari sari brand and supporting the livelihoods of weavers. He also mentioned Chanderi saris as another globally recognised textile identity of the state.
Attendees of the event
The Chief Minister said India's diversity was its biggest strength, with different regions having their own unique textile traditions; from Banarasi saris in the north to Bhagalpuri textiles in Bihar and Kanjeevaram saris in the south.
“We have connected the economy with the lives of people,” he said.
Government ensuring investor support and timely incentives
CM Dr Yadav said the Madhya Pradesh government had fulfilled all commitments made to industrialists and investors. He stated that subsidies due to industries across various sectors had been transferred directly through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
The state government has provided nearly ₹5,500 crore in subsidies to industries over the past one-and-a-half years and cleared all pending liabilities up to May 2026, he added.
Inviting investors to establish industries in Madhya Pradesh, CM Dr Yadav said, “Once someone comes to Madhya Pradesh, they become a part of the state forever. The heartland of India welcomes all industrialists.”
Affordable power and green energy push
The Chief Minister also highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s achievements in the renewable energy sector, stating that the state had sufficient availability of electricity generated through solar power and pumped storage projects.
