Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav asserted on Sunday that ideal schools will play a crucial role in shaping a well-mannered and value-driven new generation. Emphasising the importance of education rooted in ethics and cultural values, he described the launch of new educational initiatives as an encouraging step towards this goal.
The Chief Minister was speaking on Sunday at the foundation-laying ceremony for the multipurpose Mahakalpuram project in Jiyapura, Ujjain. The project is being developed by the Manav Bal Kalyan Samiti, affiliated with Vidya Bharati.
CM Dr Yadav announced an additional grant of Rs 1.25 crore for the project, over and above the Rs 75 lakh sanctioned earlier, taking the total announced government support to Rs 2 crore.

Ujjain to Carry Forward Guru Sandipani’s Legacy
Highlighting the significance of equal opportunities in education, CM Dr Yadav said schools should not become places where personal status or differences in social standing matter. Instead, every student should have an equal opportunity to learn and develop.
Drawing on Ujjain’s historical and cultural legacy, he said the city would carry forward the tradition of Guru Sandipani, the legendary teacher of Lord Krishna. He expressed hope that a new generation of students embodying the spirit of Krishna and Sudama would emerge from the city.
The Chief Minister noted that the Mahashtami festival had coincided with the beginning of a new phase in education in Ujjain. He said two Saraswati Shishu Mandirs were already operating in the city under the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, while the new Mahakalpuram project would offer education in accordance with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum.
CM Dr Yadav performed the foundation-laying ceremony and the bhoomi pujan for the project, marking the formal beginning of the proposed educational development initiative.
Vidya Bharati Emphasises All-Round Development
MP CM Dr Mohan Yadav
Speaking at the event, Member of Parliament Anil Firojiya praised Vidya Bharati for its contribution to children's all-round development.
Firojiya said the organisation places considerable emphasis on good conduct, moral values and discipline, alongside academic learning. He also shared his personal connection with the institution, revealing that he had studied at a Saraswati Shishu Mandir himself.
He described the schools as institutions that help students develop strong ethical foundations and responsible behaviour.
The Mahakalpuram project is expected to expand educational opportunities in Ujjain, with its proposed CBSE-based curriculum adding to the city's existing school infrastructure. The initiative reflects the emphasis placed by the state government and the organisation on combining formal education with character-building and cultural values.
