A major cheating racket aimed at helping paramedical students clear their backlog examinations was busted in Rajasthan’s Jaipur after police conducted a raid ahead of the exam and arrested four people, including a college operator.

According to officials, the accused had allegedly collected money from 45 students in exchange for arranging unfair means to help them pass their supplementary examinations. Acting on specific information, police raided the premises before the examination could begin and disrupted the alleged plan. The authorities subsequently cancelled the examination to maintain the integrity of the evaluation process.

College Operator Among Those Arrested

Police said four accused persons were taken into custody during the operation, including the operator of the college where the alleged cheating arrangement was being organised. Investigators are probing the role of the arrested individuals and examining whether a larger network was involved in facilitating cheating in examinations.

Officials are also verifying the amount of money collected from students and the methods that were allegedly planned to be used during the examination.

Exam Cancellation Sparks Student Anger

The cancellation of the examination triggered anger among several students who had arrived to appear for the test. Enraged by the developments, a group of students allegedly resorted to vandalism and damaged property on the premises. The situation created tension at the examination centre before authorities intervened to bring the situation under control.

Police personnel were deployed to prevent further disturbances and restore order.

Police probe on

Authorities have launched a detailed investigation into the incident and are questioning the accused to determine the extent of the operation and identify any additional individuals involved. The case has once again highlighted concerns over examination malpractice and the need for stricter monitoring mechanisms to ensure transparency and fairness in the education system.

Further action is expected based on the findings of the investigation.
