Vikram University convocation: The 30th convocation ceremony of the Ujjain-located Vikram University will be held on Tuesday, and will see the participation of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Mohan Yadav as well as Governor Mangubhai Patel. The occasion, which will unfold at the Swarn Jayanti auditorium located within the Madhv Bhawan administrative premises of the university, will be presided over by Governor Patel. Notably, Governor Patel also serves as the Vice chancellor of the institute.

103 students to be awarded medals
As many as 103 students will be awarded gold medals during the convocation ceremony, while 74 scholars shall be awarded PhD degrees. In addition to this, one student will be conferred with the prestigious D.Litt degree. Rajya Sabha MP Balayogi Umeshnath Maharaj and MP Anil Firojiya have been invited as distinguished guests on the occasion.
Vikram University convocation: CM Dr Yadav to lay foundation stone for Geeta Bhawan
After the ceremony, CM Dr Yadav will perform the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of Geeta Bhawan at the Triveni Vihar scheme site, located opposite the Kshipra Vihar commercial complex. The project carries an outlay of Rs 77 crore and aims to serve as a hub for cultural, literary and social activities.
The building will span over one lakh square feet, and is set to feature a 12,700 sq ft auditorium, as well as a 3600 sq ft e-library, enhancing the city’s cultural infrastructure.
Development projects worth Rs 700 cr to be announced
Additionally, the Chief Minister is expected to announce and initiate development projects valued at Rs 700 crore for Ujjain, which include various infrastructure projects being implemented by the Ujjain Development Authority. Moreover, foundation stones will also be laid for numerous construction works amounting to Rs 662.46 crore, which are to be done for the upcoming Simhastha Mela 2028.
