US Flag Raised Embassy Venezuela: After years, the American flag was hoisted again in Venezuela, The American flag was raised again at the US Embassy in Venezuela on Saturday (March 14). This is the first time in seven years that the flag has been raised. The previous time was in 2019.

The US flag was hoisted again at the US Embassy in Venezuela’s capital, Caracas, after nearly seven years. This move is being seen as a sign of a possible improvement in relations between the two countries. According to reports, the United States flag was re-hoisted at the embassy premises on Saturday. The embassy team said on social media that the flag was hoisted exactly seven years later at the same place from where it was first removed.

US Flag Raised Embassy Venezuela: In a statement on social media, Charge d’Affaires Laura F. Dogu wrote that this symbolizes a “new beginning.” The embassy is currently undergoing renovations, so a full reopening date is not yet clear.

Situation changed after political events –

Relations between the two countries have long been strained. The recent arrest of former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has brought a shift in the political situation. Following this, the United States has indicated dialogue and cooperation with Venezuela’s acting President Delcy Rodriguez. US President Donald Trump has also pledged to maintain dialogue with the new leadership.

Mixed reactions from locals –

Some in Caracas have welcomed this move, believing it could improve Venezuela’s relations with other countries and open up new development opportunities. However, a large segment of society remains resentful of US policies. Many believe that Maduro’s removal from power and growing US influence in the country’s oil industry could influence Venezuelan politics.

The embassy building is currently undergoing renovations, so there is no clear date for when it will fully reopen. Experts believe this flag-raising ceremony could be a significant step toward normalizing diplomatic relations between the two countries.
