The Kerala Story 2: Kamakhya Narayan Singh directorial, ‘The Kerala Story 2-Goes Beyond’ has raked in Rs 11.2 crore in India since its theatrical release on February 27, 2026. According to live estimates from Sacnilk, the film had minted Rs 10.15 crore over its opening weekend, and added Rs 1.05 crore to its kitty on its first Monday.
Notably, the film battled numerous legal hurdles before hitting the theatres, and controversy erupted across the nation after its trailer was released.

Opening day collection hit by legal delay
The Kerala High Court (HC) had imposed an interim 15-day stay on the release of the film on February 26, 2026, just a day before its release. Late Friday evening, the court lifted the stay, impacting the scheduled time of the opening shows, and limiting the first day collection to just Rs 0.75 crore.
The film saw a significant jump of 520% on Saturday, a day after its release. Saturday’s collections spiked to Rs 4.65 crore, while the film grossed Rs 4.75 crore on Sunday. This made the film surpass the Rs 10 crore mark within three days.

Hindi occupancy stands at 7.47% on Monday
The overall Hindi occupancy of the film stood at 7.47% on Monday. The occupancy grew to 8.65% by noon. Mumbai and Pune led key markets witnessed 9% occupancy.
Prequel had emerged as a Rs 300-crore blockbuster
The film’s prequel, titled ‘The Kerala Story’, released in 2023, had seen a massive collection of Rs 8.03 crore on its opening day itself, and emerged as a Rs 300-crore blockbuster on a global level.
Globally, the sequel’s collections stand at Rs 12.3 crore since its release.
