TCS employees suspended Nashik: IT giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has suspended six of its employees who were recently arrested by the Nashik police in connection with cases pertaining to sexual harassment, rape, abuse and jurting religious sentiments. The company issued an official statement to confirm the development, adding that action would remain in place pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.

TCS reiterates Zero-tolerance against misconduct
In the official statement, TCS emphasised its strict stance against misconduct at workplaces. The statement read, “TCS has a long-standing zero tolerance policy towards coercion and harassment of any form. We have always ensured the highest standards of safety and well-being of our employees at the workplace. As soon as we were apprised of the case in Nashik, we took swift action.”
It further said that the organisation is completely coordinating with law enforcement authorities, and any additional measures will depend on the findings of the probe.
TCS employees suspended Nashik: Numerous complaints trigger probe, arrests
The arrests stem from a complaint lodged by a woman at the Deolali Police Station in Nashik on March 26, 2026. The woman accused a senior TCS employee of rape. Following this, several more employees, both male and female, filed complaints at the Mumbai Naka Police station, alleging sexual harassment. As per reports, the case widened after additional allegations surfaced, prompting a deeper probe by the police.

HR Manager under scanner
If the reports are to be believed, a human resources manager at TCS has also fallen under police’s scanner. The Nashik Police reportedly issued a notice seeking an explanation from the HR Manager, who has been named as an accused in one of the cases. A complainant, meanwhile, alleged that the HR Manager failed to act despite being apprised of the misconduct, raising questions over internal grievance redressal mechanisms.
Maharashtra CM terms case ‘extremely serious’; lauds cops
Maharashtra Chief Minister (CM) Devendra Fadnavis also took cognisance of the incident, describing it as ‘extremely serious’, and lauded the police for their swift action. The CM, while talking to reporters, said, “It is shocking that acts of sexual abuse, harassment and religious conversion are allegedly being carried out in the firm. The Nashik Police have done a commendable job by probing the case swiftly and nabbing the accused.”
The case has sent shockwaves through the corporate sector, and further probe into all the incidents is underway.
