Bhushan Kumar described the recognition as a proud and humbling moment, saying the team was deeply moved by the life story of Srikanth Bolla, the visually impaired entrepreneur whose journey inspired the film.

Rajkummar Rao Plays Srikanth Bolla

Released in 2024, Srikanth stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead role, alongside Jyotika, Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar. The film is inspired by the life of industrialist Srikanth Bolla and focuses on his determination to pursue his ambitions despite challenges.

Director Tushar Hiranandani Honoured

Award Announced Earlier This Year

The Best Hindi Film award for Srikanth was announced in July as part of the 72nd National Film Awards. The award recognises films certified during the 2024 calendar year.

The film’s National Award adds another major milestone to its journey, bringing renewed attention to Srikanth Bolla’s inspiring life story and the team that brought it to the screen.
