The sensational Lohagad Fort death case in Pune took another controversial turn after murder accused Siya Goyal allegedly showed a middle finger toweards media personnel and onlookers while being escorted by police for evidence recovery. The gesture, captured during her movement under police custody, quickly went viral on social media mamd triggered widespread public criticism. 

Pune Rural Police had taken Goyal to her residence in the Market Yard area as part of the ongoing investigation into the death of her fiancé, Ketan Agarwal. During the visit, investigators reportedly recovered clothes that police believe she was wearing on the day of the incident.
 

Death Initially Treated as an Accident

Agarwal, a Pune-based realtor, died on June 18 after falling into a gorge at Lohagad Fort, a popular tourist destination near Pune. The incident was initially believed to be a tragic accident. However, subsequent investigations led police to register a murder case and arrest Goyal along with her alleged associate, Chetan Chaudhary.
According to investigators, the two are suspected of conspiring to push Agarwal off the cliff. Police have stated that the allegations are supported by evidence collected during the course of the investigation, though the matter remains under judicial consideration.

Investigators Pursuing Additional Evidence

The case drew further attention after police claimed that the accused had allegedly rehearsed the crime before the incident took place. Investigators have since recreated the sequence of events at Lohagad Fort in an effort to verify the available evidence and establish the circumstances surrounding Agarwal’s death.
Officials are also exploring additional forensic methods, including polygraph examinations and gait analysis, to strengthen the investigation and corroborate witness statements and other evidence.
