Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja received donations worth crores of rupees during Ganeshotsav 2026, with devotees offering cash, gold, silver and other valuables during the 10 day festival.

₹3.1 Crore Cash Collected in Five Days
According to figures released during the festival, the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganeshotsav Mandal collected ₹3.1 crore in cash within the first five days. During the same period, devotees also offered around 1.12 kg of gold and 19.75 kg of silver.
Three Day Collection Crosses ₹3 Crore
The donation count had already reached ₹1.90 crore in cash during the first three days. The mandal also received 647.47 grams of gold and approximately 12.39 kg of silver during this period. The value of the gold and silver offerings at the time was estimated at around ₹1.29 crore, taking the total value of the three day offerings to approximately ₹3.18 crore.

Day Wise Donation Figures
The day wise figures showed a steady flow of offerings. On the first day, the mandal received ₹48.5 lakh in cash, along with 66.77 grams of gold and 2.806 kg of silver. On the second day, ₹88.9 lakh in cash, 226.12 grams of gold and 5.516 kg of silver were recorded. On the third day, another ₹53 lakh in cash, 354.58 grams of gold and 4.067 kg of silver were counted.
Jewellery, Foreign Currency and Special Offerings
The offerings also included jewellery, foreign currency and other valuables. Among the unusual offerings was a garland made from US dollar notes.

Donations Used for Social Welfare
The donations collected by Lalbaugcha Raja are also used for social welfare initiatives. The mandal has supported initiatives including a dialysis centre, assistance for patients, a computer centre, a library and a book bank.

Final 2026 Collection Yet to Be Consolidated
The five day figures highlight the enormous scale of public offerings received by Lalbaugcha Raja during Ganeshotsav. However, the final consolidated figure for the entire 10 day festival, including all cash, gold, silver, foreign currency and other valuables, should be reported only after the mandal releases its complete final accounting.
