Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar has revealed that three of his expensive cricket bats were allegedly stolen from a practice ground in Agra. Chahar said the specially made “Player Edition” bats were worth around ₹1.5 lakh in total.

Bats Disappeared During Practice

According to reports, the incident took place at the Chahar-Dawar ground in Artoni, Agra, which is run by Chahar’s father and coach Lokendra Chahar. Chahar reportedly left his kit at the ground while practising bowling. When he returned about an hour later for batting practice, three bats were missing.

Chahar Shares Video Online

Chahar spoke about the incident in an Instagram video and said the person who took the bats may not have known their actual value. He also appealed for the bats to be returned, saying he would rather pay the person than lose his expensive equipment.

“Should I Go To Yogi Ji Or Modi Ji?”

Keeping a humorous tone despite the theft, Chahar joked that he had several options including going to the police, approaching Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath or Prime Minister Narendra Modi, or simply praying that the bats come back.

No Formal Complaint Reported Yet

Reports published after the incident said that no formal complaint had been filed at that point. Chahar’s video has since attracted widespread attention online, with fans reacting to the unusual theft and his light-hearted response.
