Whom do the schemes target?

The schemes, according to officials, target kids, farmers, tribal community groups, urban residents and rural landholders.

  1. Yashoda Dugdh Praday Yojana: The newly-launched Yashoda Dugdh Praday Yojana targets malnutrition-stricken children, and aims at tackling it. Notably, the issue is a long-standing one in Madhya Pradesh. Under the scheme, the state government will spend Rs 6,000 crore in five years, with Rs 700 crore earmarked for FY 2026-27. The children in Anganwadis and schools will receive regular milk supplies for replenishing protein and calcium deficiencies. The lactating women registered with the Anganwadis will also benefit from the scene.
  2. Samriddh Van Yojana: Under the Samriddh Van Yojana, encroachments shall be removed and large-scale plantations will be promoted, creating employment for scores of persons and ramping up groundwater conservation.
  3. Krishi Vaniki Yojana: This scheme shall encourage the farmers to plant fruit-bearing and commercial trees on private land, which shall aid them in shifting from a single-income to a multi-income model.
  4. Janjatiya Devalok Van Sanrakshan Yojana: This scheme shall pave the way for the conservation of forests of tribal faith, and cultural importance.
  5. Dwarka Nagar Yojana: Under this scheme, the roads, drainage and drinking water systems across the cities of the state will receive a shot in the arm, resulting in the improvement of infrastructure, easing of traffic snarls and waterlogging issues.
  6. Abadi Bhoomi Swamitva Adhikaar Panjeeyan Yojana: The beneficiaries of this scheme will receive free legal ownership rights for residential land worth Rs 46 thousand crore, with Rs 3,800 crore already allocated.

According to experts, these measures could drive a shift and could rev up rural economic empowerment, if implemented effectively.
