MP CM Dr Mohan Yadav: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav, while inaugurating a capacity-building workshop for self-help groups (SHGs) at the Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium in Bhopal on Wednesday, highlighted the cultural and economic significance of females in the Indian society. He said that women are being revered since the era of Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Saraswati. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister of MP, Prahlad Singh Patel was also present alongside CM Dr Yadav on the occasion.
Notably, the workshop was organised under the State Rural Livelihood Mission.

MP CM Dr Mohan Yadav: Workshop aimed to provide digital reach to SHGs
The workshop was aimed at strengthening the marketing capabilities of the SHGs, and its objective was to provide national-level market access to SHG products through digital integration and structured training.
During the event, CM Dr Yadav said that e-commerce platforms would play a pivotal role in promoting and selling the products manufactured by SHGs. He added that onboarding the products manufactured by the SHGs on e-commerce websites like Amazon would shoot up the market reach of the SHGs.
MP CM Dr Mohan Yadav: Women entrepreneurs to benefit through digital integration
CM Dr Yadav underscored that in the Hindu tradition, women’s names are always invoked before others, symbolizing their respect, stature and reverence in the society. He further said that women are making rapid strides in various sectors, and are contributing towards economic development.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the State Livelihood Mission, Harshika Singh, informed during the event that SHG products are being marketed on Amazon to expand e-commerce access. She added that MoUs are being signed with institutions such as India Post, Amazon Saheli, ITC, Access Development, Buddha Foundation, TRIF and Sighsavers to rev up logistics, entrepreneurship training and promotion on digital platforms.
CM Dr Yadav releases natural farming modules
At the event, CM Dr Yadav also launched other initiatives, including a natural farming training module, Livelihood Mart Gwalior’s virtual inauguration, new Livelihood Express vehicles and Holi fairs across districts of MP.
As per a statement released by the Department of Public Relations (DPR) of MP, SHG members have prepared environment-friendly Holi products such as incense sticks, sweets, natural colours, millet-based snacks and other traditional items. These products have been put up for sale at Bhopal Haat from February 21, 2026, and shall also be showcased at the 2-day Holi fair, which has been scheduled till March 1, 2026.
