BHOPAL, October 9: A tragic incident has come to light in Bhopal’s Arera Colony, where a 22-year-old Nepalese youth and his 16-year-old girlfriend were found dead inside a servant’s quarters on Thursday night. The incident came to light after the young man reportedly sent an emotional audio message to a friend, raising concerns about his safety.
Friend Received Emotional Farewell Message
According to reports, the deceased, identified as Aman Sarumagar, lived in the E-7 area of Arera Colony. His family reportedly worked and resided in the servant’s quarters of a bungalow in the locality.
On Thursday evening, Aman allegedly sent an audio message to his friend, Aryan, around 8 pm. In the message, he reportedly expressed gratitude for his friend’s support and said goodbye.
Concerned after hearing the recording, Aryan rushed to Aman’s room. However, the door was locked from the inside. When he looked through a window, he reportedly found Aman and the minor girl hanging inside the room.
The police were subsequently informed about the incident.
Couple Had Been in a Relationship for a Year
Preliminary reports suggest that Aman and the girl had first connected through Instagram approximately a year ago. Their conversations reportedly developed into a relationship.
The girl was a Class 10 student and belonged to the Habibganj area of Bhopal. Reports also indicate that Aman’s family had travelled to Nepal about a week before the incident, leaving him alone at the residence.
Police Investigation Underway
Investigators reportedly found no suicide note at the scene. The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination at Gandhi Medical College’s mortuary.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Although an alleged photograph of a pregnancy test kit was reportedly posted on Aman’s Instagram account before the incident, authorities have not established any connection between the post and the deaths.
The exact reason behind the incident remains unknown. Further details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
