Focus on Antyodaya, Integral Humanism

The event highlighted Upadhyaya’s philosophy of Antyodaya, which focuses on the upliftment of the person standing at the last rung of society, along with his concept of Integral Humanism.

The two leaders remembered his commitment to public service and underlined the continuing relevance of his ideas centred on human welfare and social upliftment. His philosophy places particular emphasis on ensuring that development reaches those at the margins and that the needs of deprived and vulnerable sections remain central to public welfare.

The birth anniversary programme also provided an occasion to recall Upadhyaya’s contribution to the country’s public and political life and pay respects to his ideological legacy.

Remembering a life dedicated to public service

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya was among the leading thinkers of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. His public philosophy gave prominence to the development and welfare of underprivileged and needy sections of society.

At the Lalghati programme, his contribution to the nation and his ideas related to social welfare were remembered with respect. The occasion was marked by a renewed emphasis on the values of public service and the welfare of the individual at the grassroots level.

Tree plantation highlights environmental responsibility

Alongside the tribute, CM Dr Mohan Yadav and Minister Nitin Gadkari participated in a tree plantation drive at Lalghati. The activity conveyed a message of environmental protection and the need to expand green cover.

Through the plantation initiative, the importance of preserving nature and encouraging environmental responsibility was highlighted. The programme therefore combined the commemoration of Upadhyaya’s birth anniversary with a broader message on social welfare and environmental conservation.

The event at Lalghati concluded with tributes to Upadhyaya and an emphasis on carrying forward the values of public service, human welfare and responsibility towards the environment.
