Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav has pitched the state as an emerging investment hub, highlighting its central location, expanding infrastructure, availability of industrial land and skilled workforce during a series of meetings with leading corporate groups in Mumbai.
The Chief Minister held one-to-one discussions with senior representatives of RPG, Welspun, Inox, Bhilosa, Ipca and Sun Pharma on Thursday, seeking to accelerate industrial investment across sectors including pharmaceuticals, textiles, semiconductors, industrial gases, power transmission, tyres, IT and infrastructure.

Investment proposals worth ₹90,000 crore
Industrial groups presented proposals worth around ₹90,000 crore across renewable energy, textiles, pharmaceuticals, IT, automobiles, real estate, chemicals and other sectors. The proposed investments are expected to generate around 14,375 jobs in Madhya Pradesh.
Renewable energy accounted for the largest share at ₹71,289 crore, followed by textiles at ₹5,000 crore, pharmaceuticals at ₹2,280 crore, real estate at ₹1,000 crore, IT at ₹200 crore and chemicals at ₹400 crore.
CM Dr Yadav said the state government was focused on translating investment proposals into projects on the ground and creating employment opportunities for young people.
He assured investors of government support in securing land, power, water, roads, energy and other essential infrastructure, while inviting companies to establish new units and expand their existing operations.

RPG eyes transmission, tyres and IT
During his meeting with RPG Group Chairman Harsh Goenka, CM Dr Yadav discussed potential investments in power transmission, tyre manufacturing and IT.
The group expressed interest in investing in power transmission in Jabalpur. Ratlam, Sagar and Jabalpur were also identified as potential locations for a tyre manufacturing facility.
The discussions also covered the possibility of using plug-and-play facilities at Ujjain’s IT Built-up Park. The group is expected to visit potential sites to assess their suitability.
RPG Group companies include KEC International, CEAT and Zensar Technologies. KEC International has previously contributed to Madhya Pradesh’s power transmission infrastructure.
Welspun explores technical textiles

Welspun Enterprises Managing Director Sandeep Garg discussed investments in pipe manufacturing, technical textiles and infrastructure with the Chief Minister. The group expressed interest in developing a technical textile park on mill land and establishing an anchor unit there. A team is expected to visit the proposed site.
Discussions also covered Welspun Corp’s proposed ₹150-crore investment in MS line pipes and Sintex’s ongoing ₹700-crore investment. The group is also exploring opportunities in roads, highways, water and wastewater management.
Inox proposes semiconductor-grade gas plant
Inox Air Products Managing Director Siddharth Jain discussed industrial gas and semiconductor opportunities with CM Dr Yadav.
The company has proposed a ₹1,260-crore investment to establish India’s first ultra-high-purity semiconductor-grade silane gas plant in Madhya Pradesh, with production targeted to begin in April 2029.
The project is expected to support import substitution worth around ₹350 crore and create more than 320 local jobs. Another potential investment of around ₹1,200 crore in specialty gases for semiconductor manufacturing was also discussed.
Textile and pharma investments gain momentum

Bhilosa Industries proposed phased investment of ₹7,500 crore centred on PM MITRA Park in Dhar, potentially creating around 3,750 jobs. The company plans an initial investment of about ₹2,500 crore and aims to begin production in 2028.
Ipca Laboratories proposed investments of ₹1,000 crore in Dewas and ₹80 crore at Vikram Udyogpuri in Ujjain. Together, the projects are expected to create around 1,500 jobs.
CM Dr Yadav also discussed Sun Pharma’s proposed ₹3,000-crore greenfield project in Pithampur with Executive Chairman Dilip Shanghvi. The project is expected to create more than 1,750 jobs and manufacture formulations for India, the US, Europe and other markets.
The Chief Minister directed officials to facilitate land, approvals and infrastructure requirements, including water, electricity and roads, by December 2026. Shanghvi also expressed interest in the proposed Pharma Park in Ratlam.
