Education and Welfare Take Centre Stage
Addressing the gathering, CM Dr Yadav said the government was committed to providing children with better education and improved facilities. Drawing a parallel with the friendship between Lord Krishna and Sudama at Sage Sandipani’s ashram, he said Sandipani schools represented the importance of education, friendship and the guru-shishya tradition.
The Chief Minister claimed that the school dropout rate in government schools had fallen from 14 per cent to zero. He added that the state was continuing to invest in basic infrastructure, including roads, electricity, water supply and education.
He also praised Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s leadership, saying India’s development initiatives had received international appreciation.
