Madhya Pradesh on Thursday received investment proposals worth nearly ₹90,000 crore during a roadshow held in Mumbai, with the proposed projects expected to generate around 14,375 employment opportunities in the state.

The roadshow, organised by the Madhya Pradesh government, brought together investors and representatives from several industries to discuss opportunities across multiple sectors. The state’s Chief Minister (CM), Dr Mohan Yadav, held detailed discussions with investors, highlighting the state’s industrial potential and policy environment.

Addressing investors, CM Dr Yadav described Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra as “two children of the same mother”, while noting that Mumbai and Maharashtra serve as a major hub for global investors and Madhya Pradesh offers a range of emerging opportunities.

State highlights power, workforce and policy advantages

The Chief Minister outlined several factors that, according to the state government, make Madhya Pradesh an attractive investment destination. These include extensive banking facilities, surplus power, relatively low electricity costs, skilled manpower and a favourable geographical location.

CM Dr Yadav also highlighted the state’s secure environment and said the government has introduced more than 25 investor-friendly policies aimed at facilitating industrial activity and making it easier for businesses to establish and expand operations.

Over 30% of GIS proposals move to implementation

CM Dr Yadav said more than 30 per cent of the investment proposals received through the Global Investors Summit (GIS) have already progressed towards implementation.

According to him, work has advanced on investment proposals worth around ₹10 lakh crore. The state is also preparing to host another Global Investors Summit next year, with the Mumbai roadshow being used to invite investors and industry representatives to participate.

ACME Global proposes ₹47,000 crore investment

Renewable energy emerged as a key area of investor interest during the Mumbai engagement. CM Dr Yadav said ACME Global is set to invest around ₹47,000 crore in Madhya Pradesh.

Investment proposals have also been received from major companies and groups including Avaada Group, INOX and Air Products. The proposed investments are expected to strengthen activity in the state’s renewable energy and industrial sectors.

IT, pharma and data centres also attract interest

Investors also expressed interest in sectors beyond energy and traditional manufacturing. Discussions covered pharmaceuticals, information technology, data centres and chemical manufacturing.

The Chief Minister held several one-to-one meetings with investors and industry representatives to discuss opportunities for expanding business operations in Madhya Pradesh.

The state government said fresh investments across these sectors are expected to support industrial expansion and create new employment opportunities. The government’s stated objective is to strengthen Madhya Pradesh as a destination for investment, industry and job creation.
