The Madhya Pradesh government has decided to operate its administrative machinery in a mission mode for the next six months, with a sharp focus on ensuring effective implementation of welfare schemes and delivering government services to citizens without delays, officials reported on Friday. The initiative, according to officials, aims to strengthen governance, improve accountability and ensure that the benefits of various schemes reach the last person in society.

The state’s Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav will personally monitor the progress of the campaign to ensure that government programmes are being implemented effectively at the grassroots level. The administration has been directed to adopt a more responsive approach and address public concerns promptly.

‘Mukhyamantri Jan Vishwas Abhiyan’ to begin from Chhindwara

The state-wide campaign, named ‘Mukhyamantri Jan Vishwas Abhiyan’, will be launched by CM Dr Yadav from Chhindwara on Thursday. Under this initiative, the implementation of government schemes and ongoing development projects will be reviewed extensively across Madhya Pradesh.

Officials have been instructed to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of welfare schemes on time. The government has also warned against any negligence or delay at any level of administration.

The campaign is aimed at conducting a comprehensive assessment of schemes at the ground level and identifying gaps in execution so that corrective measures can be taken immediately.

Collectors to conduct regular field visits

As part of the mission, collectors of all districts will undertake regular field visits during the next six months. They will personally inspect the progress of government schemes in villages and urban areas, interact directly with residents and attempt to resolve issues on the spot.

The move is intended to establish stronger communication between the administration and citizens while making government officials more accountable towards public service delivery.

Through these field inspections, the government plans to assess the actual impact of its schemes and understand the challenges faced by beneficiaries.

Daily progress reports made mandatory

The government has introduced a strict monitoring mechanism for officials involved in the implementation of the campaign. All concerned officers will be required to submit daily progress reports to the Chief Secretary regarding their assigned responsibilities.

To ensure effective execution of the Chief Minister’s directives, Additional Chief Secretaries and Principal Secretaries will prepare detailed action plans. These plans will define departmental responsibilities and establish a clear system of accountability.

Focus on quick resolution of public grievances

The campaign will place special emphasis on the speedy resolution of public complaints, effective implementation of welfare schemes and ensuring that benefits reach deserving beneficiaries without unnecessary hurdles.

The Madhya Pradesh government has set a goal of making the administrative system more sensitive, transparent and result-oriented. Officials have been instructed to work towards providing government services in a hassle-free manner and improving citizens’ experience with public institutions.

The ‘Mukhyamantri Jan Vishwas Abhiyan’ is being viewed as a significant step towards strengthening good governance and rebuilding public confidence in the state administration.
