Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav on Tuesday reviewed the preparation for the upcoming NEET UG 2026 re-exam, slated to be held on June 21 nationwide. He conducted the review meeting through video conferencing from the state secretariat, where officials briefed him on arrangements being ensured to conduct a smooth, transparent and fair conduct of the exam.

Exam to be held at 283 centres across MP
During the meeting, CM Dr Yadav informed officials that the pan-India medical entrance exam would be organised at 283 examination centres across 30 districts of the state. With a huge number of candidates expected to take the test, he underlined the need for robust administrative arrangements and meticulous planning at every level.
He ordered the officials to ensure there are no lapses in maintaining the exam paper’s confidentiality, as well as the fairness and dignity of the exam. Furthermore, he stressed that all departments involved in the conduct of the exam must work with utmost vigilance and responsibility.
Focus laid on security, facilities for candidates
CM Dr Yadav then reviewed key aspects related to the exam-day management, including security arrangements, traffic regulation, electricity supply, drinking water facilities, sanitation, medical assistance and other amenities required for candidates.

He directed all the authorities concerned to deploy adequate security personnel at all designated exam centres and maintain strict surveillance to prevent malpractice or unauthorised activity of all forms. He noted that ensuring a safe and disciplined environment at exam centres was essential for the successful and smooth conduct of the test.
CM emphasises coordination among departments
Towards the end of the review meeting, the state’s top political leader also instructed the Collectors of all the districts, Superintendents of Police (SPs) and officials from the departments concerned to work in consonance. He underscored the importance of effective transport and traffic management to facilitate easy access to exam centres for the candidates.
