Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav on Monday said road connectivity has a direct bearing on the development and prosperity of an area, as he virtually addressed a foundation stone-laying ceremony for a major road project in the Hatpipliya assembly constituency of Dewas district.
CM Dr Yadav said roads bring better connectivity and open the door to a brighter future for local communities. During the auspicious period of the Ganesh festival and the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, the Hatpipliya region received a major development project worth nearly Rs 98 crore.

32-km road to improve connectivity
The 32-kilometre Rajoda-Kelod-Dabal Chowki road will connect Hatpipliya with Dewas, Indore and Betul. The road will begin at Rajoda, pass through Kelod and connect with the Indore-Betul National Highway at Dabal Chowki.
The new route is expected to make travel to Indore and Betul easier for residents of the region. According to the government, around 70,000 people from nearly 25 villages will benefit from the project.
The road will also significantly reduce the distance for residents travelling to Dewas district headquarters, cutting the journey by around 40 to 45 kilometres.
CM Dr Yadav addressed the foundation stone-laying programme virtually from the Chief Minister’s residence. The event was held at Kelod village, where Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Deora, Hatpipliya MLA Manoj Choudhary and Khategaon MLA Ashish Sharma were present.
The Chief Minister also extended birthday greetings and best wishes to Choudhary.
Additional road project announced
During the programme, CM Dr Yadav announced the construction of the Sukhalia-Tigaria road. The approximately 12-kilometre route will be built at a cost of Rs 11.40 crore and is expected to benefit more than 20,000 people across 20 villages.
Highlighting other development initiatives in the region, CM Dr Yadav said the state government had gifted an excellent Sandipani Vidyalaya building for students of Sannod in July. He assured residents that the government would leave no stone unturned in the development of Hatpipliya.
CM Dr Yadav said the state government was working to realise Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. He also said that under the Swamitva Yojana, the state was facilitating free registration of 50 lakh rural property records across Madhya Pradesh.
CM urges people to join Seva Sankalp Abhiyan
The Chief Minister appealed to mothers, women, youngsters and senior citizens to participate in the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan and contribute to community service.
Dewas Zila Panchayat president Leelabai Bherulal Atariya, district BJP president Raisingh Sendhav and other public representatives were also present at the Kelod programme.
