JEE Main 2026: Session 2 admit cards likely by this date; NTA urges candidates to stay alert

JEE Main 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is slated to release the admit cards for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 in the coming days. The candidates set to take the exam are eagerly awaiting access to the crucial document ahead of the examination, scheduled for early April. 

According to the expected timelines, the admit cards are expected to be released between March 28 and March 30, 2026, just days before the exams begin on April 2, 2026. As per the usual trend, the agency releases hall tickets shortly before the commencement of the exam. Once released, the candidates can download them from the official portal by logging into their accounts.

Admit card a crucial document for candidates

It should be noted that an admit card is a mandatory document for entry into examination centres. It contains all the key details such as the venue address, exam date, shift timings and essential instructions. Candidates have been advised by the exam conducting authority (NTA) to download the document promptly and carefully verify all particulars. In case of any discrepancies, they must immediately contact the authorities to ensure timely rectification before appearing for the exam.

Steps to download JEE Main 2026 Session 2 admit card

Candidates must go through the stepwise process mentioned below to download their admit cards:

  1. Log on to the official website of JEE Mains
  2. Click on the link that reads “Session 2 admit card”
  3. Log in using credentials such as application number and password/date of birth
  4. View the admit card on the screen
  5. Download and save the PDF
  6. Take printouts for using them on the examination day

Earlier, the NTA declared the results for the Session 1 Paper 2 on February 24, 2026. Suryathejus S from Kerala scored a perfect 100 in Paper 2A (B Arch), while Gowri Sankar V achieved the same score in Paper 2B (B Planning). The Paper 2 examination was conducted on January 29, 2026 across 426 centres in 316 cities, including 12 locations overseas, such as Dubai, Singapore and Washington.
