LSG’s batting performance falters

Earlier, LSG failed to build momentum after being put in to bat by DC captain Axar Patel.Their innings lacked cohesion, with wickets falling at regular intervals and partnerships proving elusive. Mitchell Marsh from LSG offered brief resistance with a 35-run knock, while Abdul Samad added a valuable 36. However, the rest of the batting line-up failed to capitalise, resulting in a below-par total of 141 in 18.4 overs.

Pant’s LSG suffers early setback

LSG, led by Rishabh Pant, entered the season with renewed hopes after addressing injury concerns and strengthening their pace attack. However, the opening defeat highlights persistent issues in their batting unit, which failed to deliver under pressure. With a long tournament ahead, it is the need of the hour for LSG to regroup quickly, while Delhi will take confidence from a well-rounded victory that showcased both their bowling depth and batting resilience.
