A 30-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband with a butcher’s knife during an argument at his biryani shop in southwest Delhi’s Palam area, police said. The accused, identified as 35-year-old Pradeep, fled the spot and remains on the run.

Attack Took Place at Biryani Shop
The incident took place around 4:50 pm on Sunday at a biryani shop in JJ Colony, Sector 7, Dwarka. Police received a PCR call reporting that a woman had been stabbed near Kali Mata Mandir. She was rushed to Indira Gandhi Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
Argument Reportedly Escalated
According to the preliminary police investigation, the woman had reportedly gone to the shop after learning that her husband was there with another woman. Police said she confronted him, leading to a heated argument.
During the altercation, Pradeep allegedly picked up a butcher’s knife and attacked his wife before fleeing the scene.

Couple Had Been Married for Eight Years
Police said the couple had been married for around eight years and had two young sons, aged five and six. They were originally from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh and lived in the Raj Nagar Park area of Delhi.
Pradeep reportedly worked as a drummer and also ran the biryani shop. Police said there had been previous arguments between the couple over his alleged relationship with another woman.
Murder Case Registered, Search Underway
A murder case has been registered based on an eyewitness statement. Police teams have been formed to trace Pradeep, and searches are being conducted at possible locations where he may be hiding. Further investigation is underway.
