Police in Uttar Pradesh’s Azamgarh conducted a raid at a house in New Colony, Hyderabad Chhatwara, following a complaint about an alleged sex racket. Four women were detained during the operation, and police are questioning them as part of the ongoing investigation.
Police Conduct Raid After Complaint
The raid took place in the Sidhari police station area after local residents reportedly approached senior police officials with a complaint about alleged illegal activities at a house in the locality.
Following the complaint, a team involving the Sidhari Police Station and Women’s Police Station reached the location and searched the house.
Four Women Taken Into Custody
Police took four women from the house to the police station for questioning. Officials said the women were being questioned to establish what was happening at the property and whether any illegal activity was taking place.
Local Residents Had Raised Concerns
According to local reports, residents had alleged that suspicious activities had been taking place at the house for some time. One complaint reportedly claimed that several people frequently visited the property.
These allegations are still being investigated and have not been established by a court.
