The Council of Higher Secondary Examination (CHSE), Odisha, on Wednesday announced the plus two (Class 12) exam results 2026 for 2026 for lakhs of students who took the board exams this year. The board declared the results for all streams; Science, Commerce, Vocational and Arts at 12:30 pm on its official portals. 

Odisha posted an overall pass percentage of 85.85% this year in the board exams, marking an improvement over last year’s performance. As many as  214 students secured more than 90% marks, exhibiting remarkable academic excellence in the higher secondary exams.

Science stream leads charts

Among all streams, students enrolled in the science stream emerged with the highest success rate, recording an impressive pass rate of 88.80%. Commerce students stood at the second spot with an overall pass percentage of 88.07%. 

The highest number of students were enrolled in the Arts stream, which logged a pass percentage of 84.50%. Meanwhile, the Vocational stream saw a pass rate of 77.82%. 

Officials said that the pass percentage this year improved slightly by 2.4% points as compared to the academic year 2025. 

Girls outperform boys

The female students continued with the trend persisting in the previous years, and outperformed their male counterparts in the CHSE Plus Two exams. Education experts have hailed the consistent performance of female students as a reflection of growing academic awareness and improved access to education across Odisha. 

Close to 3.94 lakh students took the exams this year, while over 4 lakh of them had registered for the board exams. Official statistics released by the board reveal that 2,56,042 students belonged to the Arts stream, while 1,14,238 were enrolled in the Science stream, 24,533 were from Commerce and 5,923 were from the Vocational stream. The board conducted the Class 12 exams between February 18 and March 21, 2026, while the practical exams took place from January 2 to January 15, 2026.

  • Students who took the exam can follow the stepwise procedure mentioned below to check their results
  • Log on to the official website of Odisha Board exams
  • Click on the link that reads “CHSE Plus Two Results 2026”
  • A login page will appear on the screen. Enter your login credentials like roll number and other details
  • Submit the details. The scorecard will appear on the screen
  • Download the scorecard and print its copy for future references

After the exam results were announced, Odisha Chief Minister (CM) Mohan Charan Manjhi congratulated the students who were declared qualified in the exams.
