A spine-chilling incident took place in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy late Friday night, where a man went on a killing spree. According to police, a 35-year-old man charged with the Protection of Children From Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act first procured bail, and killed his own wife and kids upon returning home. He, as per police, then went to the house of the teenage survivor and murdered her too.

The police named the accused as Rajkumar (35), who first attacked his wife Parvathi Saritha (30) and their two sons, aged 4 and 1 respectively.
Man was charged with POCSO Act in May
Police sources said that post-murder, he travelled to the house of the 17-year-old girl, who had accused him of sexual harassment in May this year. He then took her in a car to a secluded area and allegedly murdered her.
Following this, he also killed the girl’s mother (45) and her 65-year-old grandmother. If police are to be believed, the now-dead girl’s sister aged 20, a person with disabilities, was also present inside the house, but managed to remain unscathed.
After the brutal murders, Rajkumar called up his father and informed them about the killings. He told his father, “I have done this. I have murdered these people.” He then disconnected the call and switched off his cell phone.
Sources said he also told his father he was about to end his life, but that has not been confirmed yet.
Accused at large
Tarun Joshi, a senior police officer handling the case said, “The accused is absconding at present. Special police teams have been formed to apprehend him, and we have received special leads. He shall be nabbed soon.”
Rajkumar tied the knot in 2018
Rajkumar married Parvathi following an affair in 2018. The couple initially used to live outside the village, and later settled in houses they owned in Shabad and Devalaguda. They had three kids, but their first daughter died in infancy.
After the 17-year-old girl accused Rajkumar of sexual harassment in May 2026, the police booked him under the POCSO Act and arrested him. Police officer Joshi said, “He was arrested for allegedly following and stalking the girl while she went from her coaching institute to her house. He was allegedly also mounting pressure on her to accept his proposal.”

Joshi added that after Rajkumar learnt that he had been booked under the POCSO Act, he went on the run and later managed to secure anticipatory bail from the court, as the sections invoked against him carried a punishment of less than 7 years. He continued by saying that Rajkumar had a history of behavioural issues.
