Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav on Sunday reached the Ved Agam Sanskrit Maha Pathshala (VASMP) at the Art of Living Ashram, also known as Sri Sri Gurukul, in Bengaluru, where he was accorded a warm welcome.

During the visit, the Chief Minister interacted with students of the institution and praised the efforts being made towards preserving India’s spiritual and cultural traditions through Vedic education and Sanskrit learning.

Addressing the gathering, CM Dr Yadav said the revival of Sanatan heritage was taking place under the leadership of Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi and with the blessings of spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. He described the occasion as a matter of pride and honour for all Indians.

‘Feels like being in a divine realm

The Chief Minister struck an emotional chord at the event, saying the atmosphere at the ashram gave him a spiritual experience unlike any other. He remarked that being present at the institution felt as though he had entered a divine realm.

“The grand spiritual movement for the restoration of Sanatan pride is being accomplished under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the blessings of revered Guru Ji. This is a matter of immense pride for all of us,” he said.

He further added that although he had never experienced the direct sight of God, receiving the blessings of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar made him feel fortunate and deeply blessed.

CM lays emphasis on spirituality and peace

CM Dr Yadav also reflected on the growing importance of spirituality in modern life. Referring to the teachings and activities of the Art of Living Foundation, he said that people seeking peace, happiness and spiritual fulfilment should connect themselves with the movement.

“The divine message of revered Guru Ji is resonating in every direction. In today’s world, joining the Art of Living has become essential for experiencing spirituality, peace and inner joy,” he added.

The interaction concluded with students and faculty members welcoming the Chief Minister and sharing details about the institution’s initiatives aimed at promoting Sanskrit education, Vedic traditions and holistic learning among the younger generation.
