A reported abduction case in Ujjain took a dramatic turn after a 19-year-old woman, who was initially reported to have been forcibly taken away in a black car, appeared in a video saying that she had left on her own. The incident took place in the Lalbai-Phulbai area on Tuesday night and was captured on CCTV.

Woman Allegedly Taken Away From Outside Her Home

According to the initial complaint, the woman was outside her house at around 8 pm when two men arrived in a black car without a registration number. CCTV footage reportedly showed the men taking her towards the vehicle and leaving the area.

Her family alerted the police, following which a kidnapping case was registered and a search for the woman and the suspects was launched.

CCTV Footage Captures Incident

The reported incident was captured by a nearby CCTV camera. The footage showed a confrontation as the woman was taken towards the car, prompting the family to suspect that she had been abducted.

Police began examining the CCTV footage and other information to trace the vehicle and the people involved.

Major Twist After Video Surfaces

Hours later, a video featuring the woman and a young man surfaced, changing the direction of the case.

In the video, the woman reportedly said that she had gone with the man of her own choice and that the two had been in contact for several years. Reports also said the pair claimed they had married.

Police Now Verifying the Full Story

The conflicting accounts have raised questions about what exactly happened outside the woman's home. Police are now expected to verify the woman's statement, examine the CCTV footage and establish the sequence of events.

The case remains under investigation, with authorities working to determine whether the initial kidnapping allegation is supported by the available evidence.
